Coinbase lets AI agents trade perps and index products via x402 protocol

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong announced that AI agents can now trade perpetual contracts directly on Coinbase via the x402 protocol. Users can connect by sending "Connect to https://x402.org" to their favorite LLM.
CoinbaseDev added that agents can now long or short indices tracking the top 500 US equities, top 100 tech stocks, top 10 AI companies, top 10 Chinese stocks, and top 10 aerospace & defense equities, plus over 20 tokens—all straight from the agent.
