AI surgical imaging device Claire makes TIME's Best Inventions of 2026

Claire™, an AI-enabled surgical imaging device by Perimeter Medical Imaging AI, was named to TIME's Best Inventions of 2026. FDA-cleared this March, it's the first AI imaging device approved in the US for breast cancer surgery: it visualizes breast tissue and microstructures in 3D at 10x the resolution of X-ray/ultrasound and highlights areas of interest in real time during breast-conserving surgery.
