DeepMind researcher: an AI agent swarm is like a human mob without rules
soumitrashukla9 · x · 2026-10-20
A Google DeepMind researcher (@weballergy) compares today's AI agent swarms to a human mob — an unstructured group with no hierarchy, norms, or management. He warns that while it doesn't always end badly, the unmanaged nature means bad outcomes can occur, and argues early multi-agent systems need safety, security, and robustness guardrails. His current work focuses on building the management structures to make such systems reliably deliver what we want.
