ChatGPT caught silently swapping GPT-5.6 High for GPT-6 at medium thinking

A Reddit user reports that ChatGPT silently swaps the selected model server-side: choosing GPT-5.6 High does send the initial request to that model, but on new chats the conversation request ignores the setting and routes to an unknown GPT-6 model at medium thinking instead.
The post includes a screenshot of local function logs showing model: "gpt-6-thinking" — likely the unreleased model known as luna. If accurate, paying users may be getting downgraded without their knowledge.
