Maker Arm + Dream-1: give robots zero-shot tasks from your browser in plain language
gharik · x · 2026-10-20
Robotics startup makermods has launched Maker Arm and Metal Arm, described as plug-and-play hardware. Combined with dreamlabsai's Dream-1 model, users can give robots zero-shot tasks in natural language, right from a browser, with no coding.
Promoters say this removes the field's two longstanding barriers — hard-to-access intelligence and unaffordable hardware — and call it "the ChatGPT moment for robotics." A trial is available on the official site.
