After a year of no handwriting TypeScript, he rebuilt Conway's Game of Life from memory

Developer isnit0 realized he hadn't properly handwritten TypeScript in over a year — so he rebuilt Conway's Game of Life from memory in a JSFiddle.
The implementation uses a nested Record<number, Record<number, true>> for world state, nine-grid neighbor counting, a tick function, and a render loop with configurable cell size and speed. He admits the code isn't particularly consistent or efficient, but says it was a lot of fun and recommends the exercise — a small, telling anecdote about how AI coding tools have changed developers' relationship with their own languages.
