Amazon's Lean4AgenticRL grounds multi-level process rewards in Lean4 for agentic RL
amazon · hf · 2026-10-20
AWS and UIUC researchers propose Lean4AgenticRL, claimed to be the first framework grounding multi-level process rewards for open-ended agentic RL in a unified Lean4 formalization schema. Motivated by the fact that SOTA LLM agents rely mostly on high-level outcome rewards, it builds problem-specific workflow systems balancing agent capability and controllability, then uses workflow formalization and multi-level reward annotation to verify agent behavior in a general harness — improving performance on software engineering and terminal-use tasks.
