Spectral Labs' AI agent passes SOLIDWORKS Professional CAD certification in under 3 hours

Spectral Labs says it built the first AI system to pass the industry-standard CAD certification for mechanical engineers: its agent autonomously built parts and assembled mechanisms, passing the SOLIDWORKS Professional exam in under 3 hours. The company also reports a "concerning discovery" detailed in its blog. Researcher Adele Myers, who spent 4 months interning at Spectral, shared the news.
