Analyst: Anthropic's new entity will absorb most employee stock donations, signaling shares won't be dumped
willcb · x · 2026-10-20
Commenting on Anthropic's new governance entity, willcb argues the bigger news is that Anthropic expects the entity to receive the majority of employee stock donations. Since the entity is incentivized to protect the stock's value, this signals to investors that those shares are unlikely to be sold carelessly.
He also flags oddities in the tax framing: the post calls them "donations" while the entity is not a 501(c)(3), so that part deserves skepticism.
