Source revealed: Claude models' random number picks cluster on 42 and 47

This follow-up from Randal Olson links the source for his random-number experiment: 221 fresh claude CLI sessions across three Claude models asking for a number from 1 to 100. Sonnet 5.5 answered 47 in 92% of chats, Haiku 4.5 gave only 2 distinct numbers, and Opus 5.5, though the most varied, still picked 42 in 61% of chats — showing their "randomness" is heavily biased.
