MiniMax confirmed that "Space Bunny," which topped global leaderboards with 200T+ tokens processed, was an earlier version of M3.1 Flash. It scores 62% on Automation-Bench, 30% on ALE, 74% on DeepSWE and 91% on BabyVision while costing 1/3 of M3 at 3x the speed (70% cheaper agentic tasks vs predecessor). Flat API pricing: $0.15/$0.60 per 1M input/output tokens, $0.015/1M cache reads. Open weights arrive October 23, alongside the M Plan and MiniMax Code desktop app.
