AI companion app Tolan has raised $30M from USV, Khosla Ventures and Homebrew. CEO Quinten Farmer says the app has about 250,000 users, most of them outside the Silicon Valley echo chamber, positioning Tolan as a friendly, trustworthy AI voice for everyday people.
