Investor: Anthropic's Opus 5.5 should spark business rebound as OpenAI and Anthropic trade model leadership

Investor Fleishman (firstadopter) argues Anthropic's Sept. 22 release of a much stronger Opus 5.5 should spark a business rebound, with ARR re-accelerating into IPO once Fable 5.5 ships. OpenAI's CFO says Q4 momentum continues, with business data "extremely strong" since July 9 — but confusion from FT's reporting has poisoned sentiment, making markets ignore every positive datapoint. Rob LeClerc adds that people are panicking over trailing stock indicators while ignoring fundamentals, and expects a close back-and-forth for model leadership between OpenAI and Anthropic over the next 6-12 months.
