LightOn released SlideOn and mSlideOn, fully open SOTA sparse retrievers at 174M and 339M parameters, covering English, multilingual, long-context, and code retrieval. Models and companion sparse autoencoders are on Hugging Face. Positioned for first-stage retrieval, they can be cascaded with a multi-vector reranker and a decision model.
