Robotics founder's China day 6: not the top AI innovator, but adoption will lead by a massive gap

Dominique Paul (dmrobots) logged day 6 of his China trip:
- Morning at the Guangzhou Institute of the Greater Bay Area, a think tank on Pearl River Delta growth. Nearly everyone studied abroad and returned; their tip for entering China: start with an office in Hong Kong. The group demoed @dmrobots work in a small showcase.
- Then a visit to Autolife Robotics, founded by well-published researchers, but most deployments were entertainment or "service" robots — more about the experience of watching a robot work than replacing labor.
His takeaway: he's not convinced China will be the number-one innovator for robotic AI methods, but once it works, China will scale it like no other country and lead adoption by a massive gap. The rest is Guangzhou city notes (Cantonese food, Pearl River tour, the 604m Canton Tower).
