Runway Labs launches as frontier research design studio for video and world models

Runway unveiled Runway Labs, a frontier research design studio building prototypes, applications and new media projects with generative video and world models, pairing designers, prototypers, filmmakers and artists with research. Showcased explorations include Continuum (an OS research app for real-time video interfaces), generative video interfaces (responsive re-rendering, agent steps visualized, portals into worlds), and Live Frame, a drawing app that animates sketches in real time. The team says video and general world models will unlock capabilities across film, healthcare, education, gaming and more. Hiring is open.
