TRACK paper: sim racers' speed and consistency survive car swaps, braking habits don't

Efe Çangırılı and Murat Kurt published TRACK (Telemetry-Based Racing Analysis and Coaching Kit), a framework for profiling sim racing drivers from telemetry.
- Each session is a compact geometry in a 4D behavioral space (speed, braking, strategy, consistency), clustered unsupervised with null-calibrated results
- Validated on the open Assetto Corsa Gym (ACGym) dataset; corner types differ along a behavioral dimension not used to define them
- In a small sample, speed and consistency carried over when the car changed, but repeatability couldn't be shown for any braking or strategy measure
- Cluster separation degrades as the telemetry range widens
Implication: AI racing coaches shouldn't treat cars as interchangeable for braking/strategy profiling until repeatability is demonstrated.
