Philosopher Anders Sandberg lets AI dig through his personal archive and unearths disturbing old poetry

Oxford philosopher Anders Sandberg shares what happened when he used AI to organize his personal file archive: he found traces of first meeting his husband (a fun RPG character writeup)—and, disturbingly, traces of poetry he once wrote.
He illustrates with the classic xkcd "Old Files" comic about excavating strata of old computer files, and notes that the metadata is almost as valuable as the files themselves—he's considering letting AI loose to build a fuller personal archive.
