After 8 months, a dev says Codex beats Claude at visual design for his keyboard app
South-Professor-8888 · reddit · 2026-10-19
A Reddit indie developer shared his 8-month custom keyboard project (HKeyboard). After switching to Codex ("Sol 6.1"), he sketches themes and animation storyboards himself and Codex implements them in code — something he says Claude is "absolutely shit" at. Codex also produced a product ad; lyrics were his own with music by Suno. Post includes a demo video.
