Rare footage shows Musk explaining how Ad Astra taught kids first-principles thinking

Rare 2014 footage resurfaced of Elon Musk explaining Ad Astra, the school he founded inside SpaceX HQ to teach kids problem-solving from first principles.
Using "the physics and economics of a rocket" as an example, Musk argues you shouldn't accept something as impossible just because others failed — break the problem down to fundamental truths of physics and materials, then reason up from there. He credits this mindset with making reusable rockets a reality at SpaceX, and says it's now being passed to the next generation.
