AIUC raises $40M Series A to certify and insure AI agents with Lloyd's

AIUC raised a $40M Series A from Ribbit and First Harmonic to build "confidence infrastructure" for frontier AI: standards, third-party audits, and insurance for AI agents, with coverage backed via Lloyd's. Its AIUC-1 standard tests agents against jailbreaks, hallucinations, and data leaks using 5,000 business-specific risk/attack combinations, developed with 250+ security and risk leaders; customers include Cursor, ElevenLabs, and Harvey. The model mirrors how insurers funded UL certification for electricity.
