1.9 MB extracted (not trained) LoRA fixes vertical color stripes in MOSS-Image SFT

MOSS-Image SFT users may have noticed faint vertical color stripes in skies, fog, walls and studio backdrops — easy to miss until you boost saturation. Redditor Nynxz built a 1.9 MB LoRA that removes them, released on Hugging Face and Civitai.

Usage: add LoraLoaderModelOnly to an SFT workflow; strength 1.0 at 768px, 1.5 at 1024px; no trigger words; SFT only, not Base.

Results (bandviz score, lower is cleaner, 12 held-out test images): at 768px SFT scores 9.8 → 4.2 with Destripe; at 1024px, 24.0 → 5.9, matching Base (4.2/4.0). The image stays >99% identical to plain SFT. Higher strength (up to 5) changes nothing; negative strength makes stripes worse — a neat validation.

How it was made: not trained. He split SFT's weight delta from Base into per-layer directions, used gradients to identify which directions feed the stripes as the image forms, and subtracted the 64 worst — hence the tiny size. Credits MATLOWAI's DeBand investigation for finding the responsible layers and the bandviz tool; a discussion is open on the official repo for a source-level fix.
