LTX 2.5 runs locally on M5 Pro MacBook: 6s video in 13 minutes, fully open-source
fuzhongkai · reddit · 2026-10-19
The author of TensorSharp, an open-source local inference engine, demonstrates LTX 2.5 Distilled running entirely on a MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and 48GB RAM, generating a 1024×1024 image-to-video clip of 145 frames (24fps, 6s) with audio in 13m15s — no cloud account needed.
Video Studio features:
- Generate and edit in one project: asset library, multi-track timeline, trim/split, fades, autosave, FFmpeg export
- Supports local video models: LTX 2.5 Distilled, MiniMax-H3, Wan 2.1/2.2, with first/last-frame conditioning and reference images
- Chain generations via last-frame conditioning to build longer sequences (with drift caveats)
- Optional local LLM assistant proposes timeline edits, applied after human review
