NVIDIA GPUs Hold Value Far Above Depreciation: H100 at 61%, B200 at 164%
sudoraohacker · x · 2026-10-19
Silicon Data's monthly residual value update shows NVIDIA GPUs retaining worth well above typical straight-line depreciation schedules. H100s are at 61% of purchase price four years after mass availability; B200s have climbed to 164% at just 1.6 years old. An accelerated five-year schedule would put them at 6% and 33% respectively. A100 slipped from 25% to 22.5% in year six, still far above a schedule that would have written it to zero a year ago. The chart plots actual residual curves against a 250% declining-balance schedule, underscoring the persistent gap.
