Huawei's Hi-One NPO uses ILS with a redundant laser; scarce 300mW+ laser supply drives Chinese vendors' choice

- Citing an OCP Global Summit 2026 recap, the author notes Huawei also uses ILS, with one extra redundant laser in its Hi-One NPO.
- The attached screenshot shows a conversation with an Innolight employee: the author raised link-flap concerns about integrated lasers in their Open CPX and offered to pay double for an external-laser version of Diablo; the employee replied that integrated lasers are fine because Diablo has "four extra [redundant] lasers" inside.
- The author's takeaway: Chinese players prefer ILS mainly because 300 mW+ lasers are extremely scarce, while 100-150 mW lasers are easy to source.
