User leefee reported a specific bug in the agent's goal mode: when running a project under goal mode with a separate session providing "steering" instructions, every long-context compaction triggers re-execution of the steering content. After debugging with ChatGPT's help, they found similar cases dating back to September 1, but the issue became severe around October 14. The product's lead engineer was tagged in the report.
