FinanceYF5 · x · 2026-10-19
Jascha Sohl-Dickstein, Anthropic scientist and author of the first diffusion model paper (2015), told Stanford HAI graduate students in a 7-minute talk that the PhD → postdoc → faculty path, long seen as the safe route, may actually be the least secure one. His point: choosing the safe option only gives up upside without buying safety. The video uses AI-synthesized voice and visuals.
