20 five-color palettes with HEX values and a Midjourney workflow for precise color control
tisch_eins · x · 2026-10-19
TischEins released a quick guide with 20 five-color palettes, each with HEX values and suggested use cases (branding, editorial, social, AI image projects).
The workflow: pick a palette before writing your Midjourney prompt, assign a dominant color, a background color and an accent, then tell the prompt where each color belongs. Example "Petrol & Copper" prompt: a sculptural ceramic vase with deep petrol blue glaze on warm ivory background with copper details, soft side lighting, 4:5 ratio. Swap in "Burgundy & Sage" while keeping the subject to compare how color changes the mood.
Practical tips: start with two or three colors, reserve the rest for typography and layout; use descriptive color names in prompts and HEX values in design tools — prompts won't guarantee exact HEX matches.
