Anthropic commits ~20% of shares to public good; co-founders pledge 80% of their equity

Anthropic announced the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, a new wholly owned entity starting with 5% of the company's shares. For every 50% increase in company value above a set baseline, up to an extra 2% can be contributed at board discretion — roughly 20% of total shares committed to public good overall. Both co-founders have pledged to donate 80% of their personal equity, and about half of employees donate some equity via a donation-matching program. Travis Kalanick quipped it's the "EA infinite money glitch."
