Astera Neuro researcher doristsao responded to academic feedback on a controversial paper, clarifying it was not part of her work at Astera and that data and code will be shared online within days.
She outlined Astera's publishing plans: the company website, bioRxiv, and The Stacks, an experimental publishing platform in beta. Neither bioRxiv nor The Stacks requires verified identities, making anonymous review feasible, though she still encourages critics to take responsibility for their critiques.
"If someone truly thinks what we're doing is dumb, I would love to hear why... The truth is always the most interesting," she wrote.
