Dev claims frontier models now good enough to build your own editor engine from scratch
almmaasoglu · x · 2026-10-18
Almog argues frontier models are now strong enough to "go vanilla" and optimize everything yourself. He built Feld's own editor engine, with benchmark results far ahead of existing alternatives.
The core point: codebases carry tons of library "slop" nobody ever inspects — once the code is yours, a model can optimize all of it.
