Coffee chain CEO vibe-coded a store dashboard with secrets in login page source code
heyshrutimishra · x · 2026-10-18
A South African coffee chain CEO vibe-coded an internal dashboard for all 132 stores — with one flaw: sensitive internal data was stored in the source code of the login screen. The URL leaked after employees posted photos of their laptop screens on Instagram. The CEO said he had "discovered Claude" and was "almost certain" software will soon "become free."
The post asks: who's going to teach vibe coders production engineering — listing Docker, CI/CD, caching, rate limiting, idempotency, load balancing, circuit breakers, Kubernetes, message queues, saga patterns, and more.
The attached image shows the KNOWS agent leaderboard: GPT-6 Astra and Luna lead with 3.6% full-task success, ahead of Opus 4.7 at 2.7%.
