Claude desktop Code tab bug: inline $…$ LaTeX fails to render
v84ghkgyns-cyber · ghdev · 2026-10-15
A bug report on Claude Code's desktop app (macOS, Code tab) shows inline $…$ LaTeX renders as raw source with dollar signs, while standalone $$…$$ blocks work fine. For math tutoring this is painful: the model can't know inline math will fail, so mixed output breaks. Workaround: use block-level math only. Labeled bug/duplicate by the team.
