Agent memory's blind spot: lessons learned in one task silently become rules for the next
blaizedsouza · x · 2026-10-18
A discussion on agent memory points out a real gap: runs are compared only within a single task, but the notes that survive get applied to the next task with nothing left to check them — a lesson true for one repo quietly hardens into a rule for the next. The proposed fix: keep records per project and re-read them at the start of each task.
It also showcases MemoryRouter, a cross-tool persistent memory layer: OpenAI-API compatible (swap the baseurl and add a Memory Key header), it lets one user-owned memory carry context across ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex and other assistants.
