Three coordination patterns for multi-agent teams and 3 rules that stop looping

A developer building multi-agent teams into a browser automation tool shares hard-won lessons. Three coordination patterns: lead-routing (one agent delegates via a delegateto tool), pipeline (fixed order with judgment at each step), and open-table (user @mentions, with handoffs allowed). Three anti-chaos rules: handoffs must follow a defined topology map; handoffs carry task + needed results, not full conversation; every thread has step/handoff/token budgets that pause instead of spin. Bonus: team rules can only tighten member rules, and out-of-team agent asks can't recurse. Orchestration is pure code with the 'run one member' step injected, so it's unit-testable with fake agents.
