Indie dev lands 32 sales in one day: why making users log in to pay boosts conversion
gefei55 · x · 2026-10-18
Indie developer @SaplingBuilds reports 32 sales in a single day with an unusually high signup-to-payment conversion rate. The mechanism: no free-credit signup hooks—users only log in when they intend to buy credits, so the login wall filters for high purchase intent. Reposting, gefei55 adds that the high paid rate also comes from precise traffic and channels bringing users with real spending power—no junk traffic inflating the denominator.
