Survey findings
An internal Anthropic survey shows 59% of staff say AI already cuts well-suited tasks to a quarter of the time, and on average they expect AI to handle 75% of their current work hours by 2030.
Structural evidence
- While the company tripled in size, the junior share of technical headcount slid from 21% to 14%.
- About a third of Anthropic's ML managers and a fifth of its SWE managers say AI has them hiring less.
- During the same period, its agents logged 6x human hours.
The most direct first-hand data yet on AI reshaping employment structure — even the AI company itself is using AI to curb junior hiring.
