OpenCode Desktop bug: context meter shows 0 after compaction though ~43.5k tokens remain
takanashi-lab · ghdev · 2026-10-18
A detailed bug report for OpenCode Desktop: after a manual compaction completes, the top-right context meter reads 0 until the next message is sent. The author verified the context isn't lost — the first request after compaction carried 43,520 tokens (40,832 input + 2,688 cache read), and the context API returned the summary plus recent messages. Includes reproduction steps, timestamped measurements, and environment details (opencode 2.0.31, macOS arm64, deepseek-v4.1-flash-free with 200k context).
