DavidmComfort · x · 2026-10-18
Per the LA Times, Culver City is emerging as a hub for AI filmmaking startups, drawn by its mix of Hollywood studios, tech companies and available office space. AI studio Promise is part of the cluster, which showcased lifelike AI video at a local job fair targeting emerging and out-of-work creatives. Applications span short-form crime shows, commercials and film effects. Unions and many Hollywood workers fear job losses even as studios explore hybrid productions and negotiate protections against fully synthetic performers.
