Flux3 vs Flux2 9B style transfer: better composition fidelity at 4-5x the speed
Winter_unmuted · reddit · 2026-10-18
A Reddit user compared Flux3 and Flux2 Klein 9B for single-image style transfer under identical seeds, resolutions and steps (16). Findings: Flux3 adheres much more tightly to the reference composition with higher fidelity; Flux2 is more creative but also slower by 4-5x. Flux3 wins a slight majority of tests, and its speed allows batching seeds. The author also found Flux3's prompt expander is genuinely useful on its own — better than typical Qwen VL prompt expansion.
