First-hand test: Muse shopping agent takes an hour for a 5-minute order, browsers crash
xeophon · x · 2026-10-18
xeophon tested Scale's Muse shopping agent and found it fun but painfully slow — part model, part infra/browser. A purchase that would take 5-10 minutes manually stretched over an hour without completing, followed by multiple browser crashes (he pinged Scale CEO Alexandr Wang). A screenshot shows Macy's throwing a bot check and a technical error, so nothing was ever added to the cart.
