Satire hits Anthropic's proposed AI safety bill: 'labs writing their own rules'

A pair of X posts form a pointed satire: the quoted tweet deliberately swaps in bankrupt Lehman Brothers, mocking it for "proposing a mortgage safety bill that lets banks write their own rules" — crediting it as more than other banks have done. The screenshot shows the original post praising Anthropic for proposing a "pretty reasonable AI safety bill," more than other frontier labs have done. Together they skewer the idea of AI labs helping draft safety regulation that binds themselves.
