OpenFill: Free GIMP 3 Plugin Brings ComfyUI Generative Fill Without Node Graphs
Speedeee_ · reddit · 2026-10-18
OpenFill is a free open-source GIMP 3 plugin that wraps ComfyUI into an Adobe-style AI editing suite: generative fill (select, type, Enter), promptless object removal, generative expand, and text-to-image—no node graph required. It auto-detects your ComfyUI install (portable/Desktop/Stability Matrix/Pinokio), runs it hidden, and keeps everything local. Under the hood it uses SD inpainting/outpainting (DreamShaper 8, RealVisXL V5 with Fooocus patch, optional FLUX.1 Fill) and LaMa for removal. In beta for Windows/Linux/Mac; AMD feedback and contributions welcome.
