Luiza Jarovsky warns AI is creating a society cognitively enslaved to model owners
LuizaJarovsky · x · 2026-10-18
AI ethics researcher Luiza Jarovsky argues that an implicit "market for human cognition" has historically underpinned meritocracy, autonomy and social mobility — but as AI takes over cognitive work, human cognition loses value. She warns we are gestating a society that reveres AI, is cognitively enslaved to it, and deeply dependent on the owners of the models producing its cognition: "We're indeed creating a monster."
