Generated flow now indistinguishable from real footage, but 8-frame chunks break continuity
pixlpa · x · 2026-10-18
Developer pixlpa shows his model-generated fluid flow (left) is now nearly indistinguishable from real footage (right). The hard part is continuity: the model generates 8-frame "grains," and seams between chunks are visible. He expected a Fourier basis — the usual fix — to stabilize continuous motion across successive generations, but it didn't help, and he's still searching for a solution.
