A community PR (#29786) proposes adding a human-ui skill to Google's gemini-cli, aimed at making AI-generated interfaces distinctive and production-quality while cutting token usage and unnecessary code. It sets design principles for typography, spacing, color, layout, responsiveness and accessibility, steers the model away from repetitive cards, excessive gradients and generic templates, encourages reusing existing components and design systems, and ships a quality checklist for functional and visual verification. The PR is size/xl (+118/-1520 across 47 files) and still pending review.
