Weekly puppet sketch show written, directed and animated entirely by Claude agents
Slackluster · reddit · 2026-10-18
A developer acts as executive producer of "Almost Television", a weekly 11-minute puppet sketch comedy where Claude in Claude Code does nearly everything: it built a three.js felt-puppet engine from scratch (mouth sync, auto-stepping legs, cloth simulation, code-modelled sets — no image/video generators, every frame rendered as a pure function of time), episodes are JSON scripts, subagents pitch sketches blind while persona-based "viewer" agents and a fresh reader critique boredom, and camera/motion reviewers inspect rendered frames for Claude to fix staging. Voices via ElevenLabs, music via Suno. Key insight: Claude writes genuinely better jokes when it keeps a record of what the human laughed at; comic timing and puppet eyelines remain hard.
