OpenAI engineer in bugging case says one-way Saudi ticket predates probe
rohanpaul_ai · x · 2026-10-18
Lawyers for OpenAI engineer Abdulrahman Alfozan, accused of bugging a conference room, say his one-way San Francisco–Istanbul–Saudi ticket was bought Sept. 13, 17 days before the device was found. The Oct. 12 flight matched his wife's required departure after her US work authorization ended. Saudi Arabia's consulate backs supervised release; prosecutors had cited the one-way tickets as flight risk.
