10 minutes of ultrashort-wave stimulation boosted brain waste clearance in mice

A new paper in Science Advances shows that just 10 minutes of ultrashort-wave stimulation significantly boosted the brain's waste-clearing system in mice, amplifying deep-sleep-associated brainwaves even while awake. In mice with Alzheimer's pathology, 7 days of treatment reduced amyloid buildup and improved memory. The poster floats a neuromodulation sleep-cap startup idea and speculates restorative sleep could one day compress into 4 hours.
