SDLC is becoming ADLC: Limestone's 7-step agentic development pipeline, human-gated
alex_verem · x · 2026-10-17
LimestoneHQ argues the SDLC is transforming into the ADLC (agentic development lifecycle)—but it's not a shorter loop. The bottleneck shifted: writing code got cheap while holding senior-engineer quality didn't, with security patches being the hardest. Their pipeline: engineer writes a ticket with acceptance criteria → agent proposes plan (files, approach, risks) → engineer approves → agent builds in an isolated sandbox → CI runs checks and the agent fixes failures → engineer reviews the PR → approved feedback becomes rules for the next run. The shift: agents implement, engineers approve; routine tickets go to agents, architecture stays human.
